  1. The word itself makes sounds as if you are unfeeling or uncaring about something, apathetic. Or at least it does in my mind. LOL.

    1. It does have a sort of a negative connotation, ditionary.com says “More recently, nonplussed has been used to mean “indifferent or unexcited,” a contradictory second meaning.”

  2. Interesting word! What it comes to my mind is “surprised”, “confused”, and not certain how to react. For example: “The inexperienced teenage driver was nonplussed when his car began to slide on the ice.”
