I parried the unwelcome question telling a pun, will that count as a witty answer?
Yes, telling puns is a way to parry unwelcome questions.
As children, we often try to avoid answers to questions that might get us in trouble. For example, when you are a child and you broke something in the house and the parents ask: “Did you break this or that?”. I always parried that question 🙂
Hahaha, we would blame everything and everyone but never admit we did it.
