This week will be all about spooky words.
According to Cambridge dictionary, this word is suggesting that something unpleasant or bad is likely to happen. For instance: “The loud thunder and dark clouds made the playground feel a bit ominous.”
I love that most of the examples are climate-themed!
I love the sound of this word. A lot of clasical music pieces have this feeling of being “ominous”, hehehe.
